In Rome, Italy, the 2021 Street World Championships would mark as the last competition before skateboarders gather in Tokyo for the Big Games. Over 100 international street skaters met at the Foro Italico park, where skateboarders were greeted by a sunken arena surrounded by concert bleachers, marble statues, and a pristine skate park as their stage for battle. After qualifying and semi-final rounds, only the top eight would make it into Sunday’s final. Only the top three are guaranteed a ticket to the 2021 Tokyo Summer Games coming this July.

The Men’s Street World Championships final includes a mixed bag of international skateboarders Jake Ilardi (USA), Matt Berger (CAN), Micky Papa (CAN), Sora Shirai (JPN), Jagger Eaton (USA), Kelvin Hoefler (BRZ), Yuto Horigome (JPN) and Nyjah Huston (USA). When all was said and done, Japan’s Yuto Horigome took home first place with Nyjah Huston in second and Sora Shirai in third place.
