In this week’s Head 2 Head segment, we decide to put a slight twist on the format and toss snowboard Team Challenge brands Burton and Oakley into the ring. Since our Team Challenge format in 2020 consisted of one male and one female athlete per team and section, we held the same ruling and looked at one trick from each team on the kinked rail on the streetstyle course. Let’s break it down and examine the heated battle below.

First up, we have team Burton who selected team riders Luke Winkelmann and Maria Thomsen, who both opted for a boardslide 270 out. Although, Luke spins it backside, and Maria backs him up, going frontside out. Meanwhile, Team Oakley tees up team riders Rene Rinnekangas and Jamie Anderson to tackle the streetstyle course. Rene charges the rail switch and spins backside 270 to boardslide while Jamie sets her sights on gapping the top portion of the rail and sliding a backside lipslide on the down rail portion. Which team duo’s trick do you like best? Let us know with a comment below!
