As people all over the world are looking to increase their support of black-owned businesses and services across the nation as a result of the ongoing fight against systemic racism and inequality, fellow skateboarder Patrick Kigongo wanted to do the same for black-owned skate brands and businesses. Patrick set out and created The Black List— a noncomprehensive growing guide to black-owned brands, shops, and organizations in skateboarding. As stated by Patrick in a response on Artless Industria on the creation of The Black List, “I believe that getting eyeballs on a list of Black-owned brands is a humble, yet necessary offering to building whatever lies ahead.” With fitting closing remarks by skateboarder Antony Pappalardo “At the very least, I wanna get some of my brothers and sisters paid.” We feel the same way.

Make your next purchase from a black-owned skateboard brand or business with the help of The Black List.
