Not long after he learned how to walk, Colby Stevenson was on skis. He was 14 months old when he was first introduced to the sport. At age 15, the Park City resident joined U.S. Freeskiing’s rookie team.

Stevenson’s signature event in slopestyle, though he sometimes competes in halfpipe as well. On the pro circuit, he has earned one international victory — a win at a World Cup event in Italy in January 2017. It was an emotional win for Stevenson, as it came about eight months after he was in a life-threatening car accident that nearly derailed his skiing career.
