Beau-James Wells is from Wanaka, New Zealand, where there must be something in the water, because out of this town comes some serious shredders.

Wells is one of four professional freeski brothers.  He got his start on skis at just 2 years old.  Since then he’s been loading up the trophy case and proving to his older brothers Jossi and Byron that he can definitely hang.

He was the overall Junior NZ Freeski Snow Sports Junior National Champion in both 2010 and 2011, fourth in the 2012 Youth Olympic Games, and finished in the top ten in both slopestyle and halfpipe at the 2013 World Cup Finals in Spain. Wells finished 5th in halfpipe at Dew Tour in 2013 and joined the 2014 Olympic freeski team for New Zealand. He competed in both halfpipe and slopestyle in Sochi at the 2014 Winter Olympics.  Wells finished 6th in the halfpipe final, behind older brother Jossi, who finished 4th.
