One of the recent releases from the bottom of the upside down boot state, Marcos Montoya has been skirting his way onto the skate scene. A part of the East Coast Am contest scene for a few years, in 2016 with a win at the Boardr Am at Tampa Bay, Montoya worked his way into the Boardr Am Season Finals as part of X Games Austin where he finished just outside the podium in 4th. Montoya took that result as an invitation to take his tech skills to every Am event he could. With big tricks down stairs, hand rails and hubbies paired with flip in and flip out wizardry, Montoya is the complete competition package—as proven with his 2017 Tampa Am 3rd place finish.
