ISO Olympic Skateboard Street Finals Update:
Over the weekend, street skateboarders from around the world gathered at Henan, China for penultima Olympic qualifier competition. After an open qualifier, quarter, and semi-final the podium saw Leticia Bufoni of Brazil and Yuto Horigome of Japan take first place. As for the remaining two spots, Aori Nishimura representing Japan and Virginia Fortes Águas of Brazil take second and third in the women’s division. As for the men, second and third place were filled in by Brazilian Kelvin Hoefler and American Jagger Eaton. Congrats to all Henan’s finalist and to all the Olympic hopefuls of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games.

The quarterfinals at the International Skateboarding Open went down with the top 16 men and women moving onto tomorrow’s semi-final. Another repeat first-place finish for Japan with Sora Shirai taking the lead in the quarterfinal, with Canada’s Micky Papa finishing in second and USA’s Jagger Eaton in third. As for the women’s division, China’s Wenhui Zeng finishes the quarterfinal in first, Japan’s Rizu Akama in second and Roos Zwetsloot trailing behind in third. ISO Olympic Skateboard Street Open Qualifying Update:
Olympic street skateboard hopefuls from around the world flock out to Henan, China for the International Skateboarding Open (ISO) competition to stack up more points and better their chances at making it to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games. With two days of practice taking place on September 3rd and 4th and open qualifiers starting and ending on the 5th saw Japan’s Kotone Nishimura and USA’s Jamie Foy in first place. Out of all the day’s participants in both the women’s and men’s division, only the top 20 finishers from the open qualifier will advance to the quarter-final. From there they will compete against 15 skateboarders who were pre-seated based on their Olympic World Skateboarding ranking.
