“I’m really excited about becoming a part of the Nike 6.0 team,” say Spencer. “Nike is a company that’s always striving to progress and change the game in not only snowboarding, but every sport. I’m honored to be the first female signed on head-to-toe and I can’t wait for all the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Spencer was the focus of this week’s Picture This on Alli and the former Dew Cup champ will be off to Vermont next week for the Winter Dew Tour at Killington.

She’s no stranger to the podium, whether it be the Global Open Series, X Games or Dew Tour. She was TransWorld Snowboarding’s 2009 Rookie Of The Year, as well as the Dew Tour Female Athlete of the Year and Slopestyle Dew Cup Champion in 2009. Spencer was on the podium for slopestyle twice during the 2010 Dew Tour season, which included a win at the Snowbasin stop. While she might be known best for her slopestyle prowess, her well-rounded resume includes podiums at the prestigious Baker Banked Slalom and at the ULLR Invitational Big Mountain Event. She was also named one of Ms. Superpark’s Standout riders in 2010.

Barrett Christy, the most decorated snowboarder in Winter X Games history, had this to say about Spencer: “Spencer is the kind of rider that we all want to be like: strong and confident. She brings the same kind of style to all kinds of terrain as she does to competition.”
