My Five: Skate Crew 5

My Five is a new Alli feature where we ask the same five questions to five different athletes and compile all the crazy answers for your reading pleasure. For this installment, we talked to skaters Tyler Hendley, Austen Seaholm, Paul Rodriguez, Chris Mendes and Kurtis Colamonico.

Question 1: What’s something you’re proud of?

Tyler Hendley: Yes sir, I’m proud of being 23 years old and almost paid off my $27,000 dental bill. Haa. And proud of my family for putting up with my nonsense. Haa.

Austen Seaholm: Proud to be a part of the tour again five years and running!

Paul Rodriguez: Having a child

Chris Mendes: I’m very proud of my mom, dad, sister, and little bro and all the cool nice people in my life [P-Rod, Nigel K. Alexander, Herman Jimenez, Chaz and Mountain Dew]. I’m proud of all you guys!

Kurtis Colamonico: I am proud to be the person I am today and where I’m at in life.

Question 2: What’s something you would never eat?

Tyler Hendley: I would never eat olives. They taste like pennies and feel like seal skin in my mouth. Kinda gross.

Austen Seaholm: Pretty open, but definitely nothing like raw octopus.

Paul Rodriguez: Dog

Chris Mendes: Seafood, monkeys, snakes, rabbits, ducks, rats, bugs, my dog Maxy Blue, my cat with no name, gasoline and oil like my car eats up so quick, my iPhone like my battery eats up even quicker and lots of other things. Haha, but those were just a few. Lol.

Kurtis Colamonico: Poop

Question 3: What’s your favorite video game?

Tyler Hendley: My favorite video game would probably be Mortal Combat 1 on Sega because it’s the only video game I’ve ever beaten. Not a big gamer. Haa.

Austen Seaholm: Call of Duty: World at War 2.

Paul Rodriguez: None

Chris Mendes: Wii Sport. If anybody wants to play I’m pretty good. Super Smash Bros Brawl is fun and Call of Duty is cool too.

Kurtis Colamonico: I hate video games.

Question 4: What’s your go to trick on vert?

Tyler Hendley: My go to trick on vert probably is a drop in or a gnarr kick turn ‘cuz that’s how we do, we do, we do.

Austen Seaholm: Dropping in!! Ha ha.

Paul Rodriguez: Drop in

Chris Mendes: That would have to be the frontside 900 Rock to fakie, sometimes I can do those first try, depends if I’m feeling it. Ya know what I mean?

Kurtis Colamonico: No vert for me.

Question 5: Photo shoot or Video Shoot?

Tyler Hendley: Photo shoot so they can’t hear how silly I sound when I talk. Haa.

Austen Seaholm: Shoot and film together fo sho.

Paul Rodriguez: Footage and photos together

Chris Mendes: I’ve always liked video shoots better cause you can see and hear what’s going on, I usually do video shoots with the new HD 100000 Pi red eye 3D camera. It’s probably the best camera in the world right now.

Kurtis Colamonico: Video shoot.
