My Five: Skate Crew 2

My Five is an Alli feature where we ask the same five questions to five different athletes and compile all the crazy answers for your reading pleasure. For this installment, we talked to skaters Eli Reed, Marcelo Bastos, Mario Saenz, Juergen Horrwarth and Rob Lorifice.

Question 1: What’s your favorite sport besides skateboarding?

Eli Reed: Basketball.

Marcelo Bastos: Snowboarding, even though I don’t get to go as much as I want.

Mario Saenz: I think basketball or baseball. I’m representing the Lakers today.

Juergen Horrwarth: I used to do a lot of sports myself, and I like to watch a lot of them as well. But to me, the sports I love playing the most are the raquet ones like ping pong and badminton, I used to play that sort of thing a lot.

Rob Lorifice: I guess I watch football a lot. I’m a Chargers fan. 

 

Question 2: What actor would you want to play you in a movie?

Eli Reed: I don’t like too many young actors, but I guess Casey Affleck would be pretty good.

Marcelo Bastos: Johnny Depp because he’s crazy.

Mario Saenz: Either the crazy guy or the gangster. Someone completely opposite of how I am in real life.

Juergen Horrwarth: I honestly wouldn’t know.

Rob Lorifice: I don’t know. Tom Cruise (laughs). No, no, I’m just kidding. Johnny Depp or someone cool like that. Maybe Brad Pitt because he’s hot. 

 

Question 3: Would you rather have super strength or super intelligence?

Eli Reed: Super strength, because it seems like the smarter you get, the more bummed you are on some of the wrong things in the world.

Marcelo Bastos: Super intelligence.

Mario Saenz: Really smart.

Juergen Horrwarth: I think if you’re super intelligent, you can manage to get strong somehow.

Rob Lorifice: Intelligence. 

 

Question 4: When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

Eli Reed: Probably not too long ago, but I can’t even remember. It happens pretty often.

Marcelo Bastos: I don’t even remember.

Mario Saenz: I honestly don’t remember. I laugh all the time!

Juergen Horrwarth: Not too long ago. I think it was in some hotel room with a bunch of my skating colleagues, definitely with Renton.

Rob Lorifice: Whenever I hang out with Danny Mayer. 

 

Question 5: Mac or PC?

Eli Reed: Mac.

Marcelo Bastos: Mac. All the way.

Mario Saenz: Mac for sure.

Juergen Horrwarth: Mac

Rob Lorifice: Mac
