More National Champions Are Made And The Pros Hit The Water In Reno!

The young rippers started off the hot morning in Reno today with a bang. James Loisel took home the National Championship title in the Boys Beginner division, and Noah Flegel won the Boys division Semi Finals heat and will be the top seeded rider going into tomorrow’s final round.

After that, the wakeskaters came out for their two heats of the Semi Final round. A few falls and some extremely tech moves later, it was Grant Roberts, Reed Hansen, Brian Grubb, and Stuart Shinn advancing to the Finals tomorrow to crown the 2010 National Champion.

Rockstar team rider Aaron Rathy grabs nose on thie switch pete rose during Saturday’s Pro Men Quarter finals. Rathy went on to advance to the Semis.

The Pro Women came out in the early afternoon. Only 6 riders would advance, and it was Emily Copeland-Durham again making it through in her first contest back in over a year. After the smoke cleared in the women’s division, it was the first round of the Pro Men to take the event into the afternoon. The top forty-six Pro Riders matched up in 10 heats. Only 20 riders would advance on to the Semis on Sunday, so all the boys came out firing on all cylinders. Some of the best runs of the day came out of Nautique team riders Danny Harf and Jim LaRiche who both won their heats. Other highlights included Harley Clifford’s back to back 900’s, and Bob Soven’s regular and switch crow 540’s.
