Burr Ridge, Ill. – June 19, 2009 – The Dew Tour, the world's premier season-long action sports tour, today announced that hip-hop artist and Chicago native, Lupe Fiasco, will headline the first concert of the 2009 Dew Tour Music Series, presented by Verizon Wireless, on Friday, June 26. The concert, which was originally announced as taking place in Grant Park at 5:30pm, will now be at the historic Chicago Theater at 9:30pm.

The concert location and time changes were made by Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, in conjunction with the City of Chicago. The Alli-owned and operated event will be held adjacent to the Taste of Chicago June 26-27, and in an effort to deter overlap with the Taste of Chicago music stage, the concert will move to the Chicago Theater, the most historic music venue in the city. The Chicago Theater provides a great backdrop for the Lupe Fiasco concert, as portions of it will be shown during a LIVE broadcast on NBC Sports from 1-2pm CST on Saturday, June 27.

Ticket prices start at $20 and will go on sale Friday, June 19 at 10am CST and are available at the Chicago Theater box office. Both concert and Dew Tour tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster.com and select Ticketmaster retail outlets or by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Lupe Fiasco rose to critical acclaim with the release of his debut album Food & Liquor in 2006. With songs like "Kick, Push," "I Gotcha" and "Daydreamin'" on his debut album, Fiasco earned a trio of Grammy nominations – Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song for "Kick, Push" – and was honored as GQ's Breakout Man of the Year. Following it up with his sophomore album The Cool in 2007, Fiasco is set to release his third album L.A.S.E.R.S at the end of this year. In total, Fiasco has won one Grammy out of eight nominations and has been nominated for numerous other awards.
