The Expression Session provided some serious entertainment for the people packing the pier and lining the beach after dark in Ocean City.

North of the Ocean City jetty and South of the pier, fans packed the beach to watch as Evan Geiselman returned to the scene to defend last year’s Expression Sesson victory. Despite the lack of waves, Ocean City rallied till the end to see who woud take home the win and $10,000. Unfortunately for Evan he did not make it past his heat with Nate Yeomans, but his older brother Eric won his heat against local Sebastian Zeitz and advanced to the finals to face Yeomans.

In the classic battle of the regular footed Geiselman versus goofy footed Yeomans, the finals provided some exciting tow-in action on some bumps provided by a local boat. This year the win would go to the elder Geiselman brother, Eric, who scored a 6.0 in his second heat of the finals up against fellow Californian, Yeomans. Eric’s winning score came from a frontside air reverse that he then rode in to the sand.

In the end the Expression Session title remained in the Geiselman family, this time thanks to the first born. Still stoked and fresh out of the water Eric had this to say, “The energy was definitely here. We didn’t have much for waves but the boat  was here giving us waves. I’m just stoked to come out with the win – it’s cool to get the upper hand on my little brother, too!”
