The heavy snow conditions at today’s first Slopestyle competition did not stop riders from sending on the 65-foot jump. Riders extended the runway and snaked their way between tents through the start gate. Sebastien Toutant, Tyler Nicholson, and Mark McMorris finished as the top three riders at the end of the first half of the men’s Slopestyle competition. Third place winner Sebastien Toutant stomped a backside triple cork 1440 indy, Tyler Nicholson slid away with a frontside 1260 that landed him in second place and first place winner Mark McMorris landed a back-to-back backside triple cork 1440 indy and a frontside triple cork 1440 mute finishing with a score of 95.33.
