Devin Logan Leads Women’s Freeski Superpipe Semi-Final
Local Vermont freeskier Devin Logan qualified first in today’s Pantech Invitational superpipe Semi-Final with big amplitude, solid grabs and smooth flow. She started it off with a huge straight air mute grab to big left 540 tail to flair to big straight air to big alley oop to left 7 for a top score of 86.75 on her second run.
Everyone was riding in honor of Sarah Burke today. After news of her passing in Utah broke before yesterday’s Qualifiers, the competition was cancelled out of respect and all 21 of the skiers advanced to the semis. In a moving tribute to her, all the girls did a lap through the pipe together and ended with a big huddle before the contest kicked off. The top six women will advance to tomorrow’s Final.
Results:
1. Devin Logan – 86.75
2. Brita Sigourney – 85.00
3. Maddie Bowman – 81.25
4. Ayana Onozuka – 78.25
5. Annalisa Drew – 74.50
6. Anais Caradeux – 72.50
