303 Boards crowned winner of first Dew Tour Shop Showdown

After two months of voting, this year’s Dew Tour Shop Showdown presented by TransWorld SKATEboarding culminated with 303 Boards leaving Dew Tour Los Angeles with top honors and some major bragging rights as the winning shop. The Denver, Colorado-based skate shop made it to the final round along with Frederick, Maryland’s Pitcrew, and the winning shop was announced on Sunday during the Dew Tour’s live stream of skateboard streetstyle.

The contest started off with 16 of the greatest skate shops from all around the country pitted against each other head-to-head in a bracket format. As fans voted on the winner of each matchup on the TransWorld SKATEboarding website, the field was whittled down to a round of 8, then a group of semifinalsts, and at last, the final two shops – 303 Boards and Pitcrew.

As a reward for making it this far in the contest, the crew from 303 and Pitcrew were both flown out to Dew Tour Los Angeles, where they had the opportunity to session the skateboard street course downtown next to the Ace Hotel. Check out the photo gallery and the video below to see what went down during that session.
