2008 Tige; Pro Am Wakeboard Championships to Take Place in Portland

Portland, Ore. —Some of the world’s most talented pro and amateur riders will gear-up and head to Portland for one of the most exciting and popular wakeboard contests around, the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships. Tigé announced today, the Pro-Am Championships will be held at Blue Lake Park in Fairview, Ore., June 20-22, 2008.

“We’re excited to be holding the Pro-Am early in the season this year,” said Kip Davis, Tigé Director of Marketing, “and we’re really pumped to bring it to Portland. This is a great community with huge wakeboarding support and has always been one of the most popular locations for a contest.”

The contest will feature nine divisions, including Pro Men, Pro Women, Jr. Men, Open Men, Amateur Boys, and Amateur Women’s Wakeboarding, as well as Pro, Amateur and Women’s Wakeskate.

The Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships is a three-day-long carnival of water-sports action. But not all of the action takes place on the water. On land, fans will find tons of great music and food, chances to win free stuff, and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores, offering water-sports equipment including boats, wakeboards, wakeskates, sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions.

Tigé is the official tow boat for the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships.
