For the last few weeks, we’ve been rolling out a stacked list of some of the best skaters in the world, who we’ve invited to Dew Tour’s unique four-course layout at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. But Dew Tour is much more than just a skateboard competition.
We’ve also curated some innovative technology experiences that you’ll get to explore first-hand, including virtual reality painting and high-speed drone obstacle course where you’ll use a combination of hand-held racing screens and VR goggles to navigate the course. It’s the closest thing to flying while keeping both feet on the ground.
Mountain Dew recently rolled out virtual reality painting during the NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto, Canada and now we’re bringing the experience and a new artist to Long Beach to demonstrate how you can create your own three-dimensional illustrations.
Then there’s the public skatepark to keep you moving and the world premiere of Guerreiro: The Tiago Lemos Story on Friday, July 22, followed by a big-screen showing of the new We Are Blood bonus edit at the Center Theatre.
To keep you well fed, we selected a few of the best local food trucks to bring an even wider variety of flavor to your weekend.
Food trucks include:
Saturday, July 23
Sunday, July 24
And speaking of munchies, we got hip-hop’s most high-profile foodie, Action Bronson, to headline the concert on Saturday night along with legendary rapper, E-40.
General admission, the skate competition, and technology experiences are all free, but grab yourself some concert tickets through Ticketmaster here: dtsk8.co/ActionBronson. They’re only 30 bucks.
If you want to kick your whole weekend up a notch, pick up a VIP Pass for exclusive access to the Dew Tour control tower in the center of the skate courses, the best concert seats, a gift pack, and more. See the full VIP Pass package here: dewtour.com/skate/vip-pass
