Hailing from the mean streets of Colombia comes the most metal skater of all time, David Gonzalez. Easily identified by his long hair held back by a bandana around his head, David is as hesh as it gets and is typically found in t-shirts with the sleeves torn off and jeans shredded from a recent skate session. David dropped out of school at the age of 13 to push his skateboarding to the limits, and he has done just that. After turning pro for Flip Skateboards in 2009 following his part in Extremely Sorry, it has been all eyes on David for the gnarliest skating in the industry. In 2012, David won Thrasher’s Skater of The Year (SOTY), but that came at absolutely no surprise after his part Possessed to Skate dropped on the site only a few months prior. What David did in Possessed to Skate was not just insane, it was skateboarding taken completely to the next level and will be remembered as one of the gnarliest parts in history. His combination of the biggest handrails, classically smooth transition tricks—he does over/under lines with Christian Hosoi—all mixed between some of the worst slams on the sketchiest terrain was truly one-of-a-kind. Good luck to anyone trying to top the madness in that one. Oh yeah, did we mention he plays guitar in the band Rattblack and can slay a solo? Yeah, the most metal skater of all time.
