Shaun White won his third-consecutive Best Male Action Sports Athlete award at last night’s ESPY’s and Torah Bright took home Best Female Action Sports Athlete, after gold medal-winning performances from both at the Vancouver Olympics.
White, a back-to-back Olympic gold medalist and Winter Dew Cup slope and pipe champ, also walked away a double winner last night after being named Best Male Olympian. He has now won Best Male Action Sports Athlete a total of four times.
Bright earned her third nomination but took home her first ESPY award last night. With an Olympic gold medal from Vancouver and a pair of X Games wins, Bright also competed on the inaugural Winter Dew Tour and won the superpipe competition at the final stop of the ’08-09 season.
