Under the Gun: Anthony Shetler

For this installment of Under the Gun, we caught up with World Industries pro Anthony Shetler to have him explain his tattoo of a rose growing through concrete that lines the side of his torso.

Shetler, crooked grind

“My first board graphic is the rose that grew through concrete,” Shetler said. “It was a poem from Tupac Shakur and I love his music and everything. It meant a lot to me.”

“I got “Still I Rise” written underneath it because that’s one of his albums that the poem is off of. It just came out really awesome, and it’s my first pro board graphic on World Industries.”

Shetler, a Boston native and Celtics fan, just launched his latest World Industries board graphic, which debuted at the Dew Tour in Boston and sold out almost immediately given the perfect timing of it all.

The Dew Tour event took place at the Celtics home court, the TD Garden, and the topsheet of Shetler’s board is an image of the court’s unique wooden parquet floor. The bottom of his board is a spinoff of the Celtics logo, and to top it all off, the Celtics were in the running for the NBA championships.
