Toyota Honors Athletes Who Go Big

VOTE FOR THE TOYOTA GO BIG AWARD

Rounding out the 2009 Winter Dew Tour seaon, Toyota will award one snowboarder and one freeskier for tour-wide awesomeness with the Toyota Go Big Award. In cooperation with the Winter Dew Tour, Toyota has selected eight top-notch snowboarders and skiers who demonstrated a remarkable determination to push themselves throughout the Winter Dew Tour.

These are athletes have been driven to go the biggest, nail the toughest runs, and overall work to help push their sports forward. Now, we want to hear what you think. Toyota will be letting the athletes and the fans vote together to choose who should get rewarded for their huge Winter Dew Tour season.

We’ve collected their top runs from the first two stops, you can watch them all here for your close evaluation.

From the Breckenridge stop we have skiers Simon Dumont shredding the Superpipe and Bobby Brown tearing through Slopestyle, ultimately winning the event. Snowboarders Mikkel Bang and Spencer O’Brien get loco on the Slopestyle course with second and first place finishes, respectively.

Mount Snow contenders include Justin Dorey and JF Houle, who placed second and first in Freeski Superpipe and Slopestyle, respectively. Steve Fisher’s second-place Superpipe run, along with Jamie Anderson’s first-place Slopestyle run, are right here for judging.

It’s been great to watch these athletes all season. Now, we’re excited to see who you think went the biggest. Voting started Monday, January 26 at noon EST and will end February 21st at 6pm, after the Saturday NBC broadcast. The winners will be announced live in the Sunday NBC Show.
