My Five: BMX Crew 4

My Five is an Alli feature where we ask the same five questions to five different athletes and compile all the crazy answers for your reading pleasure. For this installment, we talked to BMXers Scotty Cranmer, Koji Kraft, Dave Dillewaard, Morgan Wade and Andy Buckworth.

Question 1: What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?

Scotty Cranmer:  “The Hot Chick”

Koji Kraft: What was that one movie with Will Ferrell? “Semi-Pro.” Nobody else likes that movie, but if you deal with athletes, that’s the best movie. It’s exactly like how all these events are run.

Morgan Wade: That would be “Zoolander” or “Anchorman.”

Dave Dillewaard: Too many. I’ll say “Grandma’s Boy.” It’s really funny. It might not be the funniest, but I laugh every time.

Andy Buckworth: There’s way too many to choose one from.

Question 2: Are you a spender or a saver?

Scotty Cranmer: Ridiculous spender. I spend my money on anything, everything.

Koji Kraft: A bit of both. I save to spend. [Dennis McCoy in the background: Like those night vision goggles you just bought?] Yes, like those. I saved to get them though.

Morgan Wade: Saver

Dave Dillewaard: Saver

Andy Buckworth: A saver, for sure.

Question 3: If your life was a song, what would the title be?

Scotty Cranmer: Let me think about my life… Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house we go

Koji Kraft: Go big or go home?

Morgan Wade: Crash and Burn

Dave Dillewaard: Going with the Flow

Andy Buckworth: Let it rip.

Question 4: What trick would you attempt if you knew you couldn’t crash?

Scotty Cranmer:  Easy answer. Nose wheelie as long as possible.

Koji Kraft: Probably a manual

Morgan Wade: Probably a front flip

Dave Dillewaard: Quadruple backflip 1080

Andy Buckworth: The Ozzie Roll. It’s something that me, and a bunch of Australian riders Matt Whyatt, Andrew Hemada and Brandon Lubas have been working on. It’s a 180 backflip to a 180 frontflip in the same air. It looks wild, it’s crazy.

Question 5: Seat high or low?

Scotty Cranmer: Middle. I don’t like riding it low because it looks like a scooter and it looks stupid as hell. I don’t like riding it high because, let’s face it, that looks ridiculous as well. So I have it right in the middle.

Koji Kraft: In the middle. I don’t ride scooters.

Morgan Wade: Middle, about a fist.

Dave Dillewaard: In between

Andy Buckworth: Medium.
