My Five is an Alli feature where we ask the same five questions to five different athletes and compile all the crazy answers for your reading pleasure. For this installment, we talked to BMXers Mike Spinner, Alessandro Barbero, Diogo Canina, Zack Warden and Colton Satterfield.
Question 1: What trick of yours do you think is the best?
Mike Spinner: I guess I’ll say the quad whip at the Dew Tour because I haven’t seen anyone else do it yet.
Alessandro Barbero: Recently, I just invented the Italian job. I did it at FISE in Montpelier in the middle of May. It’s a 360 opposite down whip to whip back.
Diogo Canina: It’s hard to say, but my favorite tricks to do would be tabletops and backflips.
Zack Warden: I like to do the 360 bikeflip a lot. No one else really does it, and I’ve got it down pretty well now, so I can just fire it off whenever I want to. I definitely would choose that over any trick that I’ve got.
Colton Satterfield: 360 backflip. It’s just big and scary.
Question 2: What actor would you want to play you in a movie?
Mike Spinner: Either Jacob or Edward from “Twilight.”
Alessandro Barbero: Eddie Murphy
Diogo Canina: I love movies, but I usually don’t know who’s in a specific movie. Johnny Depp is cool. I’m definitely not like that, but I like his work, so I’d pick him.
Zack Warden: Burt Reynolds. With the mustache, you can’t have Burt Reynolds without the mustache.
Colton Satterfield: Will Ferrell.
Question 3: Would you rather have super strength or super intelligence?
Mike Spinner: Super strength
Alessandro Barbero: Super intelligence
Diogo Canina: If my strength was going to go away as I got old, I would have to go with intelligence.
Zack Warden: Strength for sure. I would lift the world.
Colton Satterfield: Super intelligence if it makes me a lot of money. Otherwise strength.
Question 4: When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
Mike Spinner: Yesterday. I laugh so hard I cry almost every day. It’s good.
Alessandro Barbero: I guess when I was in Italy, with friends.
Diogo Canina: Everyone is different. Usually things that make everyone else laugh don’t really make me laugh. But when I was home in Brazil, my girlfriend was trying to catch the bus from my house. She was trying to get all her stuff together and rushing to the bus, but I knew she wasn’t going to make it. It was funny watching her hurry for no reason.
Zack Warden: That’s a hard one. The last time I laughed so hard I cried… was when I shaved my beard into a mustache. Burt Reynolds all the way.
Colton Satterfield: At the hotel during Dew Tour, playing with a robot talking app on my iPhone.
Question 5: Apple or PC?
Mike Spinner: Apple. All the way.
Alessandro Barbero: Apple.
Diogo Canina: Mac.
Zack Warden: Mac for sure.
Colton Satterfield: Both. I own one of each.
