My Five: BMX Crew 1

My Five is an Alli feature where we ask the same five questions to five different athletes and compile all the crazy answers for your reading pleasure. For this installment, we talked to BMXers Brandon Dosch, Chris Gerber, Dennis Enarson, Jamie Bestwick and Brett Banasiewicz.

Question 1: What’s the best advice someone has given you?

Brandon Dosch: Always have the best night ever. Zack Warden told me that.

Chris Gerber: Be happy riding your bike. I’ve always heard that from people that I grew up with, White Snake, TJ Lavin, those guys. They always just said, “If you’re not having fun on your bike, why ride it?”

Dennis Enarson: Probably my parents just telling me to have as much fun in life as I could, and that’s what I’ve always done. They’ve never pressured me to do anything, and it shows.

Jamie Bestwick: Why wait for tomorrow when you can do it today.

Brett Banasiewicz: Keep your head up and always look forward. I don’t remember who I heard that from, but I like it. 

 

Question 2: Who’s your favorite living celebrity?

Brandon Dosch: Johnny Depp.

Chris Gerber: I might have to say Flava Flav

Dennis Enarson: Rob Dyrdek’s pretty much a celebrity. I’d say him. He’s funny. A smart dude.

Jamie Bestwick: Tiger Woods.

Brett Banasiewicz: I don’t know! Anthony Napolitan because he’s awesome. 

 

Question 3: What’s something that’s always in your backpack?

Brandon Dosch: Headphones

Chris Gerber: Deodorant

Dennis Enarson: Tools. I’ve always got tools. And like five tubes. In my traveling bag I’ve always got my Ipod. I can’t live without my Ipod on planes or anything.

Jamie Bestwick: My camera.

Brett Banasiewicz: Can it be more than one thing? Cell phone, helmet, hat and phone charger. 

 

Question 4: When was the last time you got angry?

Brandon Dosch: Yesterday… Wait, I mean about 10 minutes ago. I bent my rim and I’m supposed to be practicing right now.

Chris Gerber: Today. About the wind in Chicago.

Dennis Enarson: Last time I got angry? I don’t remember. When the wind was over there on the jumps, I guess I was kind of angry.  But I never get really angry, I just kind of just get bummed out. I try not to get angry at all.

Jamie Bestwick: Wednesday.

Brett Banasiewicz: Last night, I think. I was flying home, and I had a nine-hour flight. I slept the whole flight and nobody woke me up for a meal! 

 

Question 5: Dogs or cats?

Brandon Dosch: Dogs. I don’t have any, but I’m definitely a dog person.

Chris Gerber: Dogs. I have one dog named Gracie.

Dennis Enarson: Dogs. I have an awesome dog at home

Jamie Bestwick: Every time dogs

Brett Banasiewicz: I have a dog and two cats, so both.
