Mark McMorris just joined Torstein Horgmo as the second guy to do a triple cork. Following thier one-two-finish in this season’s Winter Dew Tour snowboard slope discipline, Mark and Torstein are definitely leading the progression this winter. Mark’s was the first-ever backside triple cork 1440, and he landed it last week in Snowmass at the Transworld Park Session.
Just last month Mark told Alli in a Catching Up interview:
“Maybe I’ll do a triple cork sometime, maybe in the spring. It all depends on the jump. But I don’t see the sport going that way for the next few years. I don’t think it needs to come to that yet. The jumps just aren’t safe enough or big enough.”
