Make-A-Wish Skate Jam at Hollenbeck Skate Plaza

Dew Tour skaters Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez will be competing along with Daewon Song, Nick Dompierre and other top skaters this Saturday at the Hollenbeck Skate Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. They will be joining top brands in the industry for the first annual Skateboarder Magazine Make-A-Wish Foundation Benefit Jam.

There will be a series of best trick competitions, raffles, giveaways, music, autographs and street-fair style booths from noon to 4 p.m.

This event was inspired by the annual benefit jam in Texas and founded on the grounds of uniting the skate industry in support of a good cause. Skate brands onsite include event-sponsor DC Shoes along with Volcom, Analog, DVS, Nike SB and Adio and others. They’re all there to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and give back to the kids of Los Angeles County.

An after-party kicks-off at 8 p.m. at Royal Claytons English Pub, 855 Industrial St., Los Angeles.
