Guide To Eating And Drinking At Mount Snow

Mount Snow, located in southern Vermont in the town of West Dover, is synonymous with great restaurants and night life up and down historic Route 100 along the Deerfield River. After the Dew Tour action at Carinthia, make sure you hit up some of our favorite watering holes and restaurants. Who knows? You might run into some Olympic gold medalists.

THE happening place to be at Mount Snow. Featuring 10 beers on top, great snacks and apps, and Saturday après-ski entertainment by Mount Snow legend Bruce Jacques (trust us on this — once you’ve seen his show, you’ll know why he packs ’em in every Saturday). Open daily at 11 am and until 8 pm Friday and Saturday of Dew Tour weekend.

Home of the best pizza in the valley! It’s also the spot for après-ski and late-night entertainment with live bands or a DJ, pool table and games. Saturday night The Snow Barn hosts the Mountain Dew VIP Party. Get there early for this exclusive party as only a couple hundred of the public will be admitted.

The Timber House features great views of the slopes in a full-service restaurant geared toward families. Mouth-watering entrees, chili, burgers, delicious salads plus a kids value menu. Enjoy a cold brew or a hot beverage from our full-service bar. Open for lunch and après ski Thursday through Sunday, and open for dinners Friday and Saturday nights. It’s located adjacent to the snow tubing hill, so kids can tube while their parents relax.

Located 1/4 mile from the Mount Snow south access road, you can’t miss it — look for the old silo which actually houses the bar. The Silo offers pub specials, live music, and four wide-screen TVs to catch all the action of the Dew Tour. The Silo restaurant offers all your favorite foods and brews with a great dinner menu, wine list and incredible specials daily.

A favorite amongst the locals at Mount Snow, the Dover Bar and Grill has been named in Ski Magazine as one of the top five ski town dive bars in America! The D-Bag, as it’s affectionately known around Mount Snow, might not feature all the bells and whistles of some of the larger venues in the West Dover area but it features some of the finest Philly cheese steaks, tater tots, and drafts in the valley. Stop down for a pint with CB, Mike, JJ, Jay, and the rest of the D-Bag clan.

A trip to Mount Snow wouldn’t be complete without a breakfast or lunch at the world famous Dot’s Diner. Located in the Mountain Park Plaza on Route 100, Dot’s features hearty breakfasts, mouthwatering burgers, homemade soups and award-winning chili to warm you up after a day outside. Dot’s is open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week with dinner offerings Thursday through Sunday.

Located on Route 100 South 1.5 miles from Mount Snow, Deegan’s features 7 flat screen TVs, 10 draft beers, a pub-style menu and live music Friday and Saturday evenings. If you’re looking for a restaurant (vs. pub) dining experience, wander into the adjacent restaurant Route 100 North featuring outstanding pasta and steak entrées.

Dos Gringos*

Gringos has the best Margaritas you’ll find anywhere in the state of Vermont and offers a wide array of Mexican style fare including appetizers such as Puentas y Negras, Quesadillas, and of course nachos. Great dining, bar and comfy lounge. Chopin’s features a Polish buffet the first Saturday of every month. Chopin Restaurant serves everything from Black Angus steak to kielbasa and pierogi. The Maple Leaf pub features a huge list of craft beers from across America and beyond. Not sure which kind you’ll like? Try a sampler of 6 different kinds of beer while you enjoy a huge menu of sandwiches, steaks, seafood, and pasta.
