East Coasters Charge to Slope Finals

East Coasters Charge to Slope Finals

Blue skies and blustery cold temps created fast hard snow that made the east coast slopestylers right at home. Four New Hampshirites (5 if you include pre-qualified Chas Guldemond) made their way into the finals at the last stop of the Winter Dew Tour in Mount Snow, Vermont. Sam Hulbert, Nick Julius, Ian Thorley, and Brandon Reis finished 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th to all make the finals taking place on Friday afternoon. Qualifying first was Breckenridge ripper Eric Willett with an 86.67.

Close behind was moustache sporting Ulrik Badertscher with an 86.00. Snagging the third spot was Torstein Horgmo who actually got a rerun to due an unattached single ski lying in front of the approach to the Toyota Truck jib feature. Filling the final spot to the finals was Nick Poohachoff. All these riders will meet up with the pre-qualified and leaders in the Slopestyle Dew Cup Race Tyler Flanagan, Sage Kotsenburg and Chas Guldemond.

The slopestyle course here at Mount Snow is no joke and while the east coast contingency may have the local advantage they’ll be up against three riders that have dominated the Winter Dew Tour slope competitions all year long.
