Maloof Money Cup Kimberley South Africa Results
The Maloof Money Cup (MMC) made its return to Kimberley, South Africa this weekend for the second annual World Skateboarding Championships. The event consisted of two days worth of street skating that resulted in Brazillian technical executioner Luan Oliveira taking home $100,000 and the first place title, as well as, a two-part competition to determine an overall winner from their Mini-Mega and Vert combination competition where Pierre-Luc Gagnon (PLG) came out on top overall. After Bob Burnquist took the Mini-Mega best score the night before, everyone came into the Vert section throwing it all on the line but in the end PLG walked away from the ramps with his fourth MMC win. The skate street qualifying and Mini-Mega competitions can be watched in the first video below and the skate vert can be seen in the second video. For those wanting to watch how street finals unfolded they will have to make their way to movie theatre in the U.S. on Oct. 2, 2012.
