Gus Kenworthy Takes AFP World Tour Title

On Monday, Gus Kenworthy took home the AFP World Tour title after earning his second podium placement in three days as part of the WSSF (World Ski & Snowboard Festival). What began with big air on Saturday eventually wrapped up with slopestyle Monday, but more than just the weekend’s events these acted as the final competitions for the overall AFP World Tour ranking. After taking a second place finish in big air to Vincent Gagnier and landing just above Henrik Harlaut, Kenworthy had only one thing left on his mind – how to take all in slopestyle on Monday.

In the end, he did just that. Kenworthy worked his way to the top of the pack just above Nick Goepper in second and Russ Henshaw in third. On the Women’s side of things, the fresh faced, 14-year-old Maggie Voisin was crowned the queen of the AFP women’s freeski after finishing above Tiril Sjastad Christiansen in second and Jamie Crane-Mauzy in third.
