Jamie Bestwick Predicts BMX Park

The Dew Tour Beach Championships were back at the beach and ripping up Ocean City for the fourth consecutive year. The BMX Park contest was stacked with international talent, as riders traveled a collective 74,000 miles to the contest

Take a look at this Warming Up piece to get introduced to the athletes and hear Jamie Bestwick’s predictions:

The BMX Park final was full of heavy hitters. Four athletes called out by Bestwick going in to the final were Dennis Enarson, Andy Buckworth, Scotty Cranmer and Kyle Baldock.

Despite Bestwick’s best predictions it would not be Australian Kyle Baldock on the podium during BMX park. Although, the talented Aussie laid down impressive runs and unqiue tricks like a frontflip tailwhip up the step up, it wasn’t enough to hold off his fellow competitors.

Also, falling short of the podium was former Dew Cup champion Scotty Cranmer. The park veteran is known for his consistency and style, but wasn’t able to hang in for the podium.

Dennis Enarson is known for his creativit. Just as predicted Enarson took his lines where no one else had. Putting down an alley-oop tailwhip out of the wallride and being the only rider to hit the spine and transfer to the box jump landing. His creativity and technical style got him a spot rounding out the podium in third.

Andy Buckworth, nicknamed “Dingo,” is well-known for his massive tricks. Buckworth was full of bangers and did not disappoint in the BMX Park final. Depsite not putting together a perfect run the first two times out, Buckworth managed to put down an insane final run. It was banger after banger as he put down no-handed double backflips, no-handed flairs, handplant flips and even tossed out a double flair attempt after he wrapped up his run. The Dingo certainly delivered on his reputation and took home a well-deserved Dew Cup.
